Goji berries are berries, which are about the size of the tip of your fingers and are characterized by their bright orange-red colour and raisin like shape.

These berries are the fruit of a shrub, which is native to China and the Himalayan Mountains of Tibet and Mongolia.

Goji Berries are renowned for their various medicinal benefits and have been used in Traditional Chinese and Tibetan medicine as a general health-strengthening tonic and to increase longevity. They have been consumed for more than 3,000 years in regions of China and Tibet with the hope of living a long and healthy life. In Tibet, goji berries are known as "the key to eternal youth".

Goji berries are also known as wolfberries, Tibetan goji and Chinese wolfberries. These berries are eaten raw, cooked or dried (like raisins). Dried goji berries are very versatile with a soft, chewy texture and can be added to a variety of dishes or eaten on their own.
